Superflux
Creative Producer
Superflux are an experiential futures company. They use design to imagine and build hypothetical worlds that navigate plural futures at the intersection of climate change, technology and more-than-human politics. Through this practice, they provoke people to engage with the precarity of the world we live in today, and face the future with active hope.
As Creative Producer for Superflux, I worked on:
A client project for INGKA Group (IKEA)
An immersive forest installation, centerpice for the 2021 MAK Vienna Biennale for Change
Hope in the Heat, a project to imagine hopeful visions of climate altered futures, with young people from the Somerset House Future Producers programme
CreaTures (Creative Practices for Transformational Futures) - an EU Horizon 2020 research project investigating the potential of creative practices in art, design, and related cultural fields to support positive eco-social change.
During my time with Superflux, the studio won the prestigious Dezeen Design Studio of the Year Award.
‘Invocation for Hope’ (2021) was an installation by Superflux exhibited at the MAK Vienna Biennale for Change. Curated by Marlies Wirth.
Film Direction: Anab Jain and Jon Ardern. Edited by Matthew Edgson. Director of Photography: Gregor Hofbauer. Soundscape: Cosmo Sheldrake
The project received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grand agreement no: 870759
